Cook Our Way

Eat Your Way…

A classic burger is generally the audience first choice. Generally i like homemade burgers, and i like to prepare them myself just to make sure that the meat and all other ingredients are good quality ones. This the recipe that i cook when my friends come over and every time i need to make burgers. Using this recipe you’ll prepare 4 -5 hamburgers depending on how thick you need them. You can use as many as you want and preserve the rest in the freezer after laying them between two plastic wraps.

Ingredients

  • 1  pound  of ground lean beef
  • 1/2  cup  of  minced onion
  • 1/4  cup of  fine dried bread crumbs
  • 1  tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced
  • salt
  • pepper

In a large bowl mix the ground beef, the onions, the bread crumbs, the Worcestershire and the garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into four or five equal portions and shape each into a patty.
How to serve a classic hamburger?
You can either fry the patty or let it cook on a 160 degrees in the oven. Meanwhile lay the burger buns on a barbecue grill and cook until lightly toasted. Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on  buns bottoms, add lettuce onions tomatoes and pickles. Season with salt and pepper, add the patty and serve hot.
