i was starving for a snack and i couldn’t find anything delicious to eat! So i remembered that I have found while “stumbling upon” a quick and easy microwave cake recipe. So I googled for the recipe and found it!! Here’s the link. Try it !!
Ingredients
4 tablespoons flour (cake flour)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder, any kind
1/8 teaspoon baking powder (a pinch!)
1/8 teaspoon salt (a pinch!!)
1 egg, beaten
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
2-3 drops vanilla (optional) Directions
1- In a small bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, tiny pinch baking powder and tiny pinch salt. (This can also be mixed directly into a large mug).
2- Add egg and mix into dry mixture.
3- Add oil and milk and mix well.
4- Grease a tall, large mug, and pour in this mixture, scraping out with a spatula.
5- Place in microwave on High for 2 1/2 – 3 minutes.
6- (Best slightly undercooked, so be careful)

For those who know Applebee’s since it has first opened on the Dbayeh Highway in Lebanon, they have evidently noticed that their food portions are recently decreasing. In other words you’ll see that there is a lack of ingredients in some dishes while others has been reduced to smaller portions. This is unfortunately sad for a place that has been known for a long time for its big, delicious and well served dishes.
Applebee’s has been asked about the reason why those drastic changes are taking place, and the answer was that they’d rather decrease the amount of food they are serving instead of incresing their prices.
This is maybe a fair solution in order to maintain the same level of popularity and the same number of clients. In addition to and in order to make myself clear i would like to mention that Applebee’s is maintaining its food quality and its platter are still considered “big” and satisfying.
A pasta salad is one of the recipes you can make using minimal ingredients but have the same great dish taste So to make a pasta salad you’ll need in the first place Pasta. It is better to use shaped colored ones. I like to buy a bag of mixed colored pasta as it adds a nice colorful look to the dish.
Secondly, you need vegetables such as celery, any kind of onions, olives, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers (green, red, yellow)… So anything can go here! Just pick whatever your taste desire!
You can also use Parmesan cheese or chicken or any kind of seafood. Never forget to season with salt and pepper.
When it comes to the dressing it is recommended you’d use a creamy one. If you are not into creamy salad dressing you can use the oil/vinegar one.
4 double chicken breasts (about 7-ounces each), skinless and boneless
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
8 thin slices of ham
16 thin slices Gruyere or Swiss cheese
1/4 cup of flour
1 cup of break crumbs
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 eggs
2 teaspoons water
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lay the chicken breasts between 2 pieces of plastic wrap. Pound the chicken to 1/4-inch thickness using a meat mallet. Lay 2 slices of cheese on each breast, followed by 2 slices of ham leaving a 1/2-inch margin on all sides to help seal the roll. Roll and squeeze the log gently to seal.
Season the flour with salt and pepper; than do the same with the bread crumbs. Spread out the bread on waxed paper or in a flat dish and do the same with the flour. Beat together the eggs and water in a separate large bowl. Lightly dust the chicken with flour, then dip in the egg mixture, then coat in the bread crumbs. Transfer the cordon bleu to a baking pan and bake for 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
Who doesn’t like cookies? I’ve been trying so many cookies recipes and most of it didn’t taste good. Eventually i’ve came up with this recipe and it turns out to be the best homemade cookies recipe I’ve ever baked.
Ingredients
1 cup of butter, softened
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Add the butter, both sugars, the egg, and vanilla in an electric mixer and mix until the become fluffy.
Stir in the rest of the ingredients.
Add chocolate chips and walnuts and mix thoroughly.
Drop by 2 teaspoons, 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
For those of you who are looking for a fresh and healthy desert here’s a delightful one that you’ll enjoy.
To make rhubarb hearts you’ll need:
500g of rhubarb
1 handful of dry grapes
3 tablespoons of raspberry liqueur
175g of brown sugar
250g of white creamy cheese of your choice
1 tablespoon of fresh cream
Dip the dried grapes into the raspberry liqueur.
Wash, peel and cut the rhubarb into pieces and cook with brown sugar and 1 dL of water. Drain and reserve the juice.
Mix the rhubarb with the white creamy cheese, the fresh cream and the dry grapes. Put the mixture in porcelain hearts and let cool.
Reduce the reserve juice until it becomes a syrup.
serve fresh.
Last week i lauched a voting program opposing Pizza Hut to Domino’s Pizza. You people voted mostly to Pizza Hut. Pizza hut took 80% of the votes while Domino’s Pizza took 20%.

Il Vigneto is an Italian restaurant located on the Dbayeh highway. The place is warm, calm, classy and finely decorated. The ambiance and the whole theme in Il Vigneto is pure Italian.
When it comes to food, i must say that it is VERY and EXTREMELY DELICIOUS!. I am not giving compliments or praising i am just giving my humble opinion.
I’ve been at Il Vigneto’s for a couple of time! and every time i left satiated. In fact the food is light and very tasty, you’d eat and eat and enjoy every bite.
I remember ordering the last time a “classico pizza”and some kind of “potato en el forno”as an appetizer, which is potatoes dipped in tomato sauce and topped with cheese and baked in the oven. I’ve no comments on how the food was decorated neither on their taste. It’s like Il Vigneto knows all the good rules about preparing and serving food!
So to sum up, Il Vigneto has on one hand a great Italian ambiance and on the other hand great Italian food. Those two combinations make this restaurant so complete.
